Dropping in to agree with the other posters who are discouraged from posting. I often think about something I think is cool - a musician, game, event - and wonder if it would make a good FPP.

It's just so, so common for an FPP to turn into a game of "how long does it take until someone figures out why this thing you like is bad?" The culture here feels badly broken.

Unfortunately, I do do this math when I make FPPs because I've been around here long enough to see that there is a super high probability rate that the first five comments will either be:

I'm still enthusiastic about this show's maximalist "throw everything at the wall and see what's interesting" approach to plot development, but giving David psychic powers feels like maybe a loose thread too far to me, like are you really going to introduce that and tie it up in the one remaining season? Aw man, I haven't finished the second half of this season yet (I just remembered that it came back!) but it is so good. So much gleeful gore, so much camp. This season has been, I think, a little not-as-good as the first two, maybe? but it's still great TV and I can't wait to finish the rest.

My only question here is what the boys from Knowledge Fight are going to get up to once the Alex Jones show is finally gone for good. By the way, if you want to enjoy hearing an absolutely shitfaced alex jones cry and whine and scream on air as he realizes that the rollercoaster is about to finally stop, their June 3rd episode is full of schadenfreude.

I too was pleasantly surprised at how pretty decent it was, but I have soooooooo many questions about the Evil Catholic Church's plan to bring people back into the fold. I mean, historically, you can't really control a demon/anti-christ, so I feel like not a lot of long term planning was done.

It's never free speech enough to just let everyone have their own dank corner of the platform to which others have to opt-in to see. There has to be an algorithm which 'suggests' speech you might be interested in and which places unsolicited, paid-for promoted speech in front of people who wouldn't ordinarily be aware of it.

Oh, man, the Kings are cross-hiring all kinds of people from Elsbeth so far. Office Blanke as one of the particle collider guides and Detective Smullen as the demon that Sheryl had to bring under control.

It's a shame that this is the last season, they have really found their groove of kinda sorta vaguely religion adjacent supernatural fucked up weirdness.

Yes rclone will backup Shared Drives in Google Workspace, and you shouldn't even need to do any scripting — just set up a cron job to run something like rclone sync your_remote:your_shared_drive /mnt/6TB/backup on schedule). rclone config walks you through the setup process. The New York bank is suspicious, the police want to find him, there's always a scare on the trains, Dickie and Marge barely tolerate him... He's always burning bridges, never on solid ground.

Good ole Randy Hillier, one of the asshats in one of the photos, is a well-known nutter in my neck of the woods. When the Freedom Convoy was at its peak, Randy was encouraging supporters to tie up 911 so that no one with a legit emergency could get through. I'm not a wargamer, but I'm wargamer-adajcent. This is the first game that has really tempted me to get into wargaming. I stumbled onto it via YouTube miniature sculpting / painting channels. I love the aesthetic and the idea of kitbashing in general, and may at some point build an army even if I can't find anyone to play with me.

I adored Detectorists for the same reasons. Someone on MeFi recommended it during lockdown and I remember thinking, how the hell could a show about people searching for buried treasure with metal detectors be funny and interesting? And then it quickly became one of my favourite shows ever. So heartwarming, and also very very funny in a dry, quiet British way.
