What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

My nickname started as a way of saying "T-dog" in German, because I was in high school and thought T-dog would be a cool nickname (incredibly, it didn't catch on). But thanks to lauranesson's excellent comment, now it's been retconned to also be a meta-joke on "on the internet no one's knows you're a dog." It's a sufficiently weird username that it's available on most sites.

Full disclosure: I did not read every single election 2016 thread. Eventually I skipped ahead so I could read reactions to current news. Sorry to disappoint.
