About

What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

I've gone thru tons of dorky user names (have never had a nickname, btw) - and this is the first one that I really like - enough to buy the domain name! [update 1/4/2008: I lost the domain name almost 2 years ago. :( ]

I started with "personae" because I like the idea of a person having multiple identities (not like multiple personality disorder, silly!) - but it was already taken. then my sweetie suggested adding the "e" to the front, because of my name.

It just sounds cooler that way. :)

added 11/6/01: normally, I don't like nicknames. I've never had any, with a few exceptions for very old or very special friends. but I'm finding that I like having a username here, instead of my name. I don't know why, exactly.
