What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? The nickname comes from one of my cats, a big (part Maine Coon) kitty with gorgeous red and cream fur and an inaudible, vibrating purr.
I started lurking on Metafilter several years ago, when a (now deceased) member who happened to be a friend of mine IRL forwarded me a post on Frankenstein.
