About
What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
My nickname? No one had bought the domain yet, of course. I was a member of various Cleveland, Ohio area Commodore BBS's in the mid to late '80s and an active member of the Cleveland FreeNet up until 'round-a-bout '93. After that I was a big fan of Gopher for a while until I happened upon the web some time in '95. It's all a bit vague to me now. After I left FreeNet, I hopped around different IRC servers for a bit until I decided that the Internet was a wasteland and no place for social interaction. I carried that opinion for some time until I discovered SissyFight and thanks to the folks at Word.com for that!
