What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

When I was young, I told this cute guy that I never had a nickname, but that I wanted one. I was wearing a red sweater, so he decided he'd call me Red. You can guess the reason for the 58....

Now I work at home and I am here all the time. IRC, IM, email, conference calls - I sometimes don't *speak* to anyone for several hours after I start working.

I still depend on my geeky friends for assistance with computer and all, but I have become the defacto help desk for all my non-tech friends and neighbors. It seems very ironic to me
