What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

Doesn't calico have a nice ring? Go on, say it: cal-ee-co. I've always thought so, but what I never knew is that in the US it's a name for a type of cat. Not until the good people of metafilter told me.

As you'll see above, I've only made one post, but have been meaning since 2003 to make another about the Newgate Calendar. Sadly I have found today (2nd December 2007) that that post was made in February this year, and I missed it. I may never recover from the sulk I am currently in, and may forego the whole concept of 'linking' to other 'webpages' henceforth.
