What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

I had a previous Metafilter ID and had forgotten both the username and password. The email address it was associated with had long been deleted, so I very begrudgingly signed up for a new account. I was annoyed about it (and still convinced I would find my first account) so I put "Ugh" as my username. Sometimes I sit late at night, staring at the stars, and dream of what obscenely low ID number I possessed in another lifetime. -sigh- I once had a FPP about me (although no one actually knows it's me) and I would totally brag to my friends about if only they knew what the hell Metafilter was.
