What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

When I was younger I played Magenta in a Rocky Horror theatre group, and one of my favorite lines from the movie was, "There are some that say that life is an illusion." By bizarre reverse thought, if I'm an illusion than I'm full of life, right?
So the nickname stuck as my online handle on the BBS's that I frequented (TREX II and Palace Flophouse and Grill) but as I moved on to MUDS I discovered that other people were already using "Illusion" so it morphed into "Illusionary One" and eventually into its present form, Illusionaire. I've been online in one form or another since 1993, much to the dismay of my mother, as when I lived at home and first started going online she assumed that if the computer was on, the phone lines were being tied up. (Pretty close to the truth, actually.)
