About
What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
Well, it's actually not a nickname. It's my first and middle name in one. My first name is pronounced A-nar. So, it's pretty easy. However, I've learned that native English speakers are physically unable to pronounce my middle name.
I'm Icelandic, just moved back to this lovely rock in the middle of the Atlantic after having lived in Chicago the last three years.
I first used the internet at my high school library in 1996. The first page I remember reading was one about my favorite soccer team. I wasn't too impressed in the beginning. However, I must say this thing people like to call the internet has exceeded my initial expectations.
I have my own weblog. However, it's only in Icelandic so I guess it's pretty useless to most people.
