What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

It's an abbreviation for my site...which came into existence because a friend of mine wanted to practice her french.

I had told her about Future Farmers, and we were emailing back and forth about women in technology. She asked if I knew of any other ubergeek-femmes, and I thought that was an awesome phrase.

And be very careful to put in the hyphen, because if you put in a dot, you will see lots of nekkid ladies. I discovered this when I told my boyfriend that I did a redesign and he typed it in while I was on the phone with him. After a stunned silence, he said: 'Wow. You really did redesign.'
