What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

After visiting Graceland in 1989 and viewing the Jungle Room in all it's green shag carpet and teak furniture goodness, I developed a sick obsession with all things kitschy, tacky and Elvisy. Velvet Art combines all three of my loves. A world without Black Velvet Elvises would be a barren wasteland or a Velvet-less Elvis-less Hell, shorten that and you get "VelvetHellvis." I am facing my fears of a kitschless post with the nick, "VelvetHellvis." Don't hate me or my MetaFi posts because we're tacky. We can't help it. The power of the one true Velvet Elvis compells us.
