About
What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
My user name is my initials.
I was something of a latecomer to the internet party. It was 1995 before I realised that it existed, later that year that I got stuck into Foothills and the following year that I started arguing with strangers on the Electronic Telegraph.
To my shame, professional and purely functional websites aside, Mefi is really the only window into internet culture that I bother with these days. I'm too old for Fark and Boing Boing and too far from my days working for Accenture to read The Register. To be honest, I get the very best of the web, in real time, right here - but with fantastic input from our community.
I am proud to be a member of this community and I thank each and everyone of you for your contribution towards making it what it is.
