What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

The first online forum I signed up for was a motorcycle site. All my bikes are V-Twins and are know for their torque. So I chose torquemaniac as my sobrique. While I've embraced other nicks since then, all my vintage signons are torquemaniac.

I enjoy link aggregation sites & MeFi was one of the first I found. I didn't hit on AskMe until a few years ago and stick around just to witness the inherent weirdness of humanity.
