About
What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
I got my first Nigerian 419 spam, signed "Mustafa Abachar," when I was a freshman in college. It was the typical "My country is in distress, my family needs your help to overcome persecution, blah blah blah." I showed it to my roommate and we both thought it was pretty funny. Together, we composed a brief reply along the lines of "I will help you fight! Viva la revolucion!" and I signed it "Schustafa Mubachar."
After that, whenever we played Quake III, I was 'schustafa,' and I've used that as my online nickname about 50% of the time since then (the other option is the much more boring 'ajschu').
