What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

I started reading MeFi because one of the prolific posters here uses my last name as part of his/her nick. See, I never even bothered to discern gender, I just care about the nicking of my last name. Then I went and doubled the first syllable of my last name for my nick here.

And now I am stuck with it.

Man, the righteous indignation of a large number of posters here is hilarious. Don't get me wrong, I love the discussions and often find them illuminating, but good lord do some people have issues. MeTa is a goldmine.

I've been online since...early 90s? I used gopher on AOL! The Internet sure is a lot of fun.

I've recently gotten into playing TF2 and the community at MeFight is awesome and amazing. Highly recommended! I play as Slander. Hop in sometime!
