About
What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
I first started using the internet before it was sanitized and they put the sash over the bowl, like at Motel 6, so you knew it was ok to use.
I think my first experience was either on my Commodore 64 or my friends C128. Cruising thru software sites on CompuLink. At that time I thought it was just for freaks but I was still intrigued. Intrigued was all you could be at 300 to 1200 baud. To be genuinely interested you had to upgrade to 2400+.
Having an AOL account years later, I saw a logo I had designed on someones 'website'. I was using AOL 2.0 or 3.0 and their browser SUCKED. I was hooked. I wanted to have some sort of control on how things were displayed on the 'net and since then ('94 I think) I have been designing for online use.
