About
What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
as far as i remember, i knew this world already.
this maëlstorm of electrons running through undersea wires, this tornado of waves falling from the skies...
When i was young, i dreamt of a cyberpounk future, a world with plugs&&cables&&cyberspace, the world depicted by Gibson, Stephenson, Williams, Sterling...
one day, back in 1995, i found a cybercafe.
i was studying communication.
i started to manage this cybercafe, i found that others in the world had this dream [i'm french, we lack seriously cyberpunks, they are few, hard2find, but strong].
i found myself lurking, studying, learning, evangelizing, getting angry when people looked at me like at a madman.
'this internet thing...'
yes.
they should have listened.
