About
What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
my nickname comes from the anime cartoon Tenchi Muyo. I've always liked Ayeka and wanted purple hair like her. the star part is just a part of me. came from liking stars [it was always my symbol] to a sailor moon song that made me giggle cause one of the few words in english was 'starlight' ..ah.
the internet ...well, where to start.... I didn't really get into it till 1996. at that point, I didn't think of it as a community place, I thought of it as a place to lie to people in chatrooms. it has grown beyond that now. 1997 was when I discovered journals and learned that there was an actual thing to do beyond sitting and waiting for friends from school to join you in a chat match. there were places to voice your opinions. a place to put your whole life on the web or your skills. I quickly learned html and grew a *voice* and joined right in with that crowd. not widely noticed, but it has grown a part of me and I wouldn't have it any other way.
