About

What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

AKA MovableBookLady (I have a blog imMovableBookLady) as I was a full-time RVer for several years and now am off the road for good. Also, I was a bookseller for many years and I collected movable books (umbrella term for all books with moving parts); had over 800 before I went on the road and sold all but a few special books). I'm working on a post for the most special book I still have.

Places I've lived and loved: Tripoli Libya 2yrs; Livorno Italy 2yrs; Asheville NC 20+yrs; Tucson AZ 14yrs; Caux Switzerland 6mo.; Jackson WY 6mo; Wilmington NC 15yrs.

My favorite quote:
We opened up a bookseller and found the heart half-rotted away.
--16th century coroner

Other good quotes:
Why, her father would turn in his grave--well, as a matter of fact, he was cremated, but what I mean is, if he hadn't been, he would have.
--No Wind of Blame by Georgette Heyer

I can't think why fancy religions should have such a ghastly effect on one's grammar. It's a kind of intellectual rot that sets in, I'm afraid.
--Gaudy Night by Dorothy Sayers
