About
What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.
My nick is self explanatory, as my name is Kevin C. Murphy. I got it from my parents. As for the Internet, I guess I really started using it at school in 1993 (along with irc and muds), although I had been using intranet e-mail since 1991 and logging on to BBS's (1200 baud, baby) before that. I started my own webpage in 1997, mainly as a timekiller during a brief stint as a temp in Manhattan. As for blogging, I was looking for a way to improve my sparsely visited site in 1999 and came upon Barbelith, Megnut, and Saturn. I'm still sparsely visited, but now I have much more fun updating my page. Keep a weblog and someday it'll keep you and all that jazz.
