What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" My nickname is from a TMBG song "Purple Toupee" "Martin X was mad that they outlawed bellbottoms". When I picked it I never imagined having to say it out loud, much less use it to introduce myself, and then I went to a meetup.
I grew up with the internet, but my life was changed, probably for the worse, when I got a high speed connection of my own in 10th grade.
