What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

"diag" is short for "diagnostic", and is a nickname I was given years ago at work, being in IT tech support at the time, and being known as the guy who could determine the cause of a problem and fix it.

I've been using that nickname online for years. It's only with the relatively recent advent of online voice chat that I've learned that most people read "diag" as "dee-ag"... no... it's "dye..ag".

Not that I really care how people pronounce my online nickname. But, I get many people asking me "What does 'dee-ag' mean?". So now you know :)
