What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

Doing my part to make the internet less anonymous since 2005. The first time I heard of the World Wide Web was in college, in the early 90s, my roommate showed me a "browser" (Lynx) and how you could look at "sites." Like the Vatican had all these pictures of famous artwork, but you would need a browser which would show pictures, which apparantly hadn't been invented yet. Anyway, I was posting on BBSes back in the 300-baud modem era from my Commodore 64. Lurked on MeFi for years before joining.
