What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

The Uname should be obvious. I started using the Internet in late 1992 to find out more about Washington, DC, which is where I was hoping to go to grad school. It was through Gopher, e-mail and FTP that I was first using the Net.

I suppose the "wow" event was after moving East was that I could get the full box scores for the SF Giants and the 49ers from the Net as I had to wait an extra day to read them in the newspaper.
