What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

Well, my username is my boring old name : Mena G. Trott.

It all started with GENIE in 1990. My parents quickly ended the fun when they received a bill for $150 for one day of activity. I moved on to Prodigy, skipped AOL and went directly to Lynx via the local college's vax system. Not too cool for a 16 year-old girl in 1993.

I think I burned out from the web in 1997. It took some time to actually be interested again and now I'm here after a few years of not caring about anything interent-community related.
