What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

The oh-so-hip nickname "shackbar" was created many years ago by a UNIX machine at the University of Minnesota Duluth. That was my account name in the computer system. I really started to appreciate it when I was a sophomore in college. My roommate like the name so much he used it instead of my real name. I would walk into the room, and he would say "Shackbar." It's kind of catchy and unique so I've kept as a user name option.
