About

What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

So in the 1980's, I ran my own BBS. Then I did some consulting work for Prodigy in the 1990's on their mental health content and indexed all the online support groups available in 1992. I published those indexes to Usenet starting in 1992. I also put them on the web along with some basic mental health information in 1995, and have never looked back.

Stigma and ignorance are the enemy of mental health and wellness. I've spent my entire career working to reduce stigma and ignorance, by harnessing the power of the Internet to bring people closer to one another and to helpful information.

It really is that simple.
