What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

I chopped the first letter off my given name, then glued it onto the stump of my surname. This painful arrangement dates back to my university days, where I whiled away my time cluttering up USC's newsgroups with one-joke visual gags done up in Paint. The server would automatically use your login name as an identifier; I just took out two letters and made it my handle.
