From the North West of the UK, I worked for many years building mountain trails for the National Trust in the Lake District. I lived in Tanzania for two years and the villagers gave me the name quarsan.
I was a journalist in Brussels, Belgium, mainly covering EU politics for New Europe. Now I'm back in the Lakes, working at a Christian retreat.
