What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

I am taking a metafilter hiatus. I am not "buttoning out," but I do plan to greatly reduce my presence here for awhile. I have projects I would like to complete, and and need to focus on those. I've written enough of these little bios that you would think I'd be really good at it by now. I'm an unapologetic contrarian, and like to take the weakest side in an argument. I am generally honest, spend too much time online, too much time engaged in entirely stupid and worthless activities, and am pretty sure I have killed any chance I ever had of holding political office.

And yes, I know I can be an ass, and no I don't really mind being told as much.
