My user name is a riff on a line from the Ars Poetica that I came across in school and found amusing: 'parturient montes, nascetur ridiculus mus'. The colloquial translation is 'All that work and nothing to show for it', but the literal translation is 'A mountain will go into labour and give birth to a foolish mouse'.
