What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? Many of my friends in real life know me as Bugs, so metaBugs means "it's Bugs, on Metafilter". That it sounds like I'm an error-prone subsite didn't occur to me for years.

I work in biology, help to run my local hackspace, fly big kites, play boardgames, tinker with electronics, bake, juggle... I'm a serial dilettante. My one stable hobby is trying out new hobbies.
