What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

... I think my nickname came from an inspired insult my brother hurled at me once. I was 11, struggling to read a book I could barely lift, and he contemptuously referred to me as a "rumpled little academic in the budding".

I liked the shit out of that.

(Although -- if I had known there was already a MeFite named Rumple, I definitely would've chosen a different name. Sorry, Rumple!)

Basically: I make beats, read books, collect records, get obsessed with things, learn as much as I can, go on really long walks, write stories sometimes, work at a bakery, and try to become a better person. You've caught me half-way through.
