I like BBC's take, although the picture of the peck is better on yahoo.

The turkey is applying for a job as a White House intern, right?

i've never understood the pardoning of the turkey. does that mean the first family doesn't have a turkey at their thanksgiving dinner? if they do, it seems like a very empty gesture.

No wonder the turkey got a pardon!

Does the turkey prefer white or red meat?

What I want to know is why lobbyists from Big Turkey(tm) had to be there? Who actually said "Hey, you know what's missing from this photo-op? Industry executives!"

Seems Liberty the turkey knew who these guys were though...

"...and watch the great white bird stealthily stretch his neck and beak toward the crotches of turkey industry men in blue suits (who casually cross their hands below their belts)"

Amazing- we go from the headless chicken to the turkey who gives head. Even more amazing is the fact that Bush actually issued a death row pardon of something- do you think he had a crisis of conscience on this one?

And terrapin's right- why the heck were "Big Turkey" representatives there? Can't this administration stop whoring for even one holiday, ferchrissakes?!

I stashed a better, more suitable for photoshopping, copy of this pic here.

I think since the poultry lobby traditionally donates the turkey, the poultry lobby people get to show up for a photo op. No matter who's president.

Since Dubya is, by his own admission, a "windshield rancher," there's no way he'd ever tackle a live turkey!

Ha ha! It looks like the bird is giving the president a blow job! Did you guys see the one where Usama looks like he is screwing a goat! Funny stuff! Anybody know where I can find pictures comparing various presidents to monkeys?

This needs to be photoshop[p]ed?

Naturally! For starters you could replace the turkey's head with a mirror-reversed cut-and-paste of this photo from the recently uncovered Hungarian "Tourist Guy" photos.
See, there's comedy, there's high comedy- then there's "Tourist Guy's" head on a turkey's body, giving the president fellatio...
