How did they get the moustaches on the snake's noses without getting bitten?

My understanding has always been that it's usually a bad idea to do anything to a snake's face.

I thought that this kitten in headphones would be the cutest thing I saw today, but I think your fancy gentleman wins by a scale.

How delightfully terrifying! Have you any tarantulas carrying parasols?

There's a tumblr, too.

Which displays the sockpuppet of the late, great Julius.

If hats are the theme, then I must insist on seeing an elephant, standing on its head, wearing a hat.

Disappointing absence of snakes wearing berets.

Also feathered pimp hats.

While I stand by my initial reaction posted above I am also compelled to lament the apparent lack of snakes wearing feather boas.

And I may also be wishing for a picture of some kind of python in a fedora with a My Little Pony in its death grip.

Drew DiSabatino is a viral writer for iVillage.

Fuck the snakes, that's the most horrible thing in the whole article. "Viral writer" is a thing now?!?

Hasn't anyone told them it's impolite to wear a hat indoors?

Hognose snakes are gentle critters that rarely bite.

They do hiss and strike but if you get to close they roll over and play dead.

If you pick them up they will probably poop on you.

But no biting.

Snakes give me the willies. I thought maybe a snake in a hat would be different, but nope, I got to the third one and had to close my eyes and alt-f4 out of the browser. Snakes are creepy, and all of these snakes are looking right at me. TRICKY SNAKE YOUR DISGUISE DOES NOT FOOL ME!

you know, it would be tragicomic if one of these set-ups began thusly:

'Dude! Get away from that coral snake!'
'It's a king snake dude, chill' (gets the hat and marker ready)
'Don't you know: Red on black: poison lack / Red on yellow: deadly fellow'
'Huh? What are you talking about?' Tries to affix hat, snake objects, dude dies.

I feel like there was an entire photoset of the snake in the birthday hat but I can't find it, probably because I tagged it with some variation of eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee or eeeee or EEEEEEEEE.

This is so great. I'm trying to figure out if I have anything that can work as tiny corn snake hat. Greens always work well with orange and reds. Or is that too Christmas-y (note to self: Santa hat).

My son's king snake is Blackbeard the Pirate Snake. I wonder if I can fashion a pirate hat and an eye patch for a snake?
