That's some good ass packaging. I feel kind of bad for the kid. I don't think this packaging is intended for this demographic.

Packaging as art.

seriously if this is the default response to this packaging then this is extremely successful packaging

1990's packing doesn't work with 2010's youth.

Though I think she misses the point with the packaging, I am fucking delighted that there are still obsessive Bowie fans of all ages.

Best. Unboxing. Ever. And I mean evar. (and this is coming from an obsessive Bowie fan).

"I don't know who designed the packaging but I want to both marry them and slap them".

I like this lass she has moxie a-plenty.

I fully approve of Arial hate, but that's not Arial.

Imagine David Bowie now turning up at her house: "I heard you had a problem... with my font choices?"

Next, let's talk about Mark Hollis' unreadable handwritten lyrics in EVERY DAMN TALK TALK ALBUM.

Buffy, Merlin, Bowie, and emphatic and foul-mouthed, helpless rage about packaging? Holy shit, I found my platonic fangirl soulmate.

I started off thinking "ooh, she's trying a bit too hard," but by ¾ of the way through, I was in stitches. Well played, miss.

I thought she had some good points, actually.

She really liked the music though? It has to be the most forgettable album of his career.

See, you say most forgettable, but that's because you actually forgot the most forgettable.

This must be some level-12 adept humor because I badly want those minutes of my life back.
But, hey, maybe it'll start a movement: unknown person on Internet doesn't like something and flogs that dislike in agonizing detail. Yeah, that might have legs.

The glued on paper thing is kind of weird.

My biggest annoyance with specialized packaging was it never stacked neatly with the others. Like the NIN Broken package, or the U2 Achtung Baby packaging. Ohwell, I threw everything away last time I moved anyway. I kept a few out of print cases and some collector cases. Not that they'll ever be worth anything.

please ever since Labyrinth people have had problems with Bowie's package.

Is the deeper meaning that David Bowie likes squares?

I feel like sending her an original Sound + Vision box set so she can unbox that with glee -- but it would not be as funny.

I got a copy of Radiohead's Kid A upon release, which I listened to for a few days, and then it really started to bug me how heavy the cd case was. Also, if you looked inside the little spindle that holds the cd, you could see a face. That intrigued me, so I pried the two bits of the "back half of the case apart to find AN ENTIRE BOOKLET OF ART. It was kind of creepy, like I had just stumbled on some cult-y spy ring or something.

There were ten years between the last two albums. I hope he spends the next ten years writing and recording ten songs, just one great song a year, and screw the packaging and videos and retrospectives. That's what we all want for Christmas, Santa Jesus Bowie, just one great song.

Ah, kids. So cute to see their learning struggles.

That all-blank booklet with "You" written on the back? Ponder that one a little more deeply, Pixie.

She's got 477 views on Youtube. It's better than 90% of the crap on TV. She's a talented kid. Good post.

"I like skim-reading! I can't skim-read this!"

Ah, grasshopper, you begin to see his purpose. (Or maybe not.)
