Jokgu the Chicken is an accomplished soloist and a member of The Flockstars ("Now available to perform for New Year's Parties, Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Birthday Parties or any special occasion lol"). [videos contain clucking, ambient music and fulsome praise].

More on the Two Creative Chicks YouTube channel and Facebook page. Here's a behind-the-scenes look at the life of avian rock stars [background music].

Jokgu isn't the chicken we asked for; Jokgu is the chicken we deserve. Though, do we deserve a chicken with this much love of country?

Love it! Jokgu must be a genius chicken, because (in my experience) chickens are kind of dumb and not easy to train. Or maybe I was just doing it wrong, because my hens definitely did not like to be cuddled and petted.
Anyway, these are some lucky chickens, to have all those toys and opportunities for musical self-expression. Because heaven knows chickens can't sing!

Chicken training is TOTALLY a thing.

Make fun of Jokgu, but he's clucking all the way to the bank.

Back in the dark ages when I was a child, we'd go on our annual trek to visit family in Florida. Somewhere along that trip was a stop to visit the trained chickens: you'd plunk some cash in the hopper and the chicken would perform whatever trick and then be rewarded with a serving of chicken food.

There were all sorts of different feats that the different chickens would perform... a kind of chicken specialization in their workplace. I have no idea why we stopped there since my dad grew up plowing behind a mule on a small farm; maybe it was the novelty of chickens as something other than food.

I wish I could remember where the place was. So odd. We just took it for granted that, of course, chickens performing (usually musical) tricks was 'a thing' that existed.

Jam bands pretty much sound the same even across species.

Obligatory Werner Herzog clip (2:40). Werner hates chickens.

I love birds and wanted to be excited about this but all I saw was a chicken trained to peck at keys when they light up.

And I so wanted to believe.
