Fun is now illegal.

The character limit is painful, I wanted to make it say "everything fun".

I'll be happy with this when it is possible to say "Assholes like me are illegal" as easy as it is to say "Sex is illegal".

Can we also redact his name from the title and URL too?

Need a corresponding webtool for "...IS NOW LEGAL", to cover "HATE", "FRAUD", "RACISM", "MISOGYNY" and "BAD HAIR"...

Guys. Donald Trump is now the fucking President. This is bizarre and terrifying. Naturally, we're going to satirize him.

What's the point of not saying his name? Are we going to pretend this isn't happening? Cause it's definitely fucking happening. Ignoring it isn't going to make it un-happen. His side is going to continue singing his praises; how are we supposed to fight back if we can't even criticize him without "legitimizing" him?

It's not like saying his name is going to make him appear before you in a puff of smoke. Donald Trump is not fucking Beetlejuice. He is not an ancient storm deity that draws power from the invocation of his name. He's a narcissistic real-estate shithead and reality TV star that has conned his way into the world's most powerful political office and we can't shoot him down if we can't fucking talk about him. Jesus!

The risk with Trump is bringing him up to the common people level with humor.

Of course I currently have the city of Bowling Green's flag superimposed on my FaceBook profile picture, so it's a chance I'm willing to take.

Ah! Yes, he does stand out among historically notable tyrants in a few ways.

No thanks. Not humanizing this tyrant through humor.

Are you serious? Pointing and laughing at Donald Trump is the only thing that gets to him. The ONLY THING.

But here's the funny part: it's easy. It's really, really, super duper easy to get under Trump's skin by laughing at him. This site is barely taking the simplest swipe at him, and even his supporters would find this amusing. But as stupid and inconsequential as this website is, if Donald Trump saw this site it would piss him off. And that's rather amazing, that a 70-year-old man would take offense at the littlest thing, but that shows his stunted emotional level.

To reiterate: the best weapon we have (other than, you know, voting) is to point and laugh at Trump until he loses his cool. Which he will do. And which we will do. It's not just fun; it's imperative.

'Illegals' is a pretty disgusting term to slide into public discourse. Being born is illegal? Where you were born?

People are illegal. Actual humanity is against the law. This is beyond thoughtcrime, actual existence is a crime.

Yeah, but the problem was that he was a laughable, easily-satirized joke when he was running for President. Nobody thought he'd actually get elected because he was such a ridiculous gasball of hyperbole and outright lies. Ha ha, many said; he's a refreshing break from politics as usual and clearly he can't mean any of the insanity that comes out of his crazy face hole.

Then he got elected, started making insane and unconstitutional executive orders and it's not fucking funny right now.

(And I get that he does respond to SNL mocking him, etc., but his response is to become more unhinged. And that's terrifying.)

Voting, calling our reps, demonstrating, engaging in community activism, donating to civil rights and community organizations, and pointing and laughing at him until he loses his cool.

FTFY.

The people who said that weren't laughing at him, they were laughing with him. He knows the difference.

I don't think this kind of thing humanizes him or really disrupts his determination either way. But it's useful to continue to point out the absurdity of his actions so that they are not accepted as the New Normal, like the slow rise in temperature of the bathwater that goes unnoticed till hits scalding temperature.

As far as affecting Trump in any meaningful way, his narcissism is all about end-justifying-means levels of face-saving and vindictiveness. As a Guardian writer said about his signing the abortion gag rule after the women's marches, 'call me paranoid" but it was almost as if he rushed it through in response to the marches by women against him, as if to say "here you go bitches, look who's in charge". He really does operate that way.

So satire isn't really anything that will change Trump's course, but it will keep us sane and keep us remembering, as the Dadaists liked to point out, that absurdity is absurd and it isn't normal and logical and natural. He's all about obfuscation of his contradictions, lies and irrationality. If we accept it as such, it begins to work for everyone.

I don't know, but it looks particularly childish, like he just colored a dinosaur and wants to show the whole class.
