My only wish is that there were more of these edits. They're so wonderfully bizarre.

I need to get a fair bit of work done today - instead I'm cackling at my desk. These are awesome.

And slightly unsettling.

A rare, high-quality youtube comment:

"I'm gonna put these on VHS tapes and leave them at other people's garage sales."

What is it about King of the Hill that attracts this?

I'm not complaining.

Today I learned I have so much affection for the character of Peggy Hill that I had a visceral reaction to her being troubled by a bizarre dream.

Once I got over that, I really enjoyed these.

This is like watching King of the Hill in the Upside Down.

Youtube took me away from the King of the Hill series to this masterpiece with bizarro Carl Sagan. I'm not complaining either.

I was expecting this to be like the redubbed GI Joe PSAs. But I was wrong, these are EVEN WEIRDER

I'd love to see this series revived, but real life instead of animation.

Huh, these are like, the evolution of YTPs - instead of random effects and word splicing, they end up having more narrative value instead.

King of the Hill is some of my favorite comfort watching (I am sad it's not on any streaming service anymore, though). I didn't dislike these. In fact, I actually enjoyed them for what they were -- they were put together well and had their own stories. The weirdness was delightful and I like the surreal quality of them.

They didn't ruin King of the Hill for me at all, but I was left wondering what the point was, other than "King of the Hill was kind of nice so let's make it weird and dark!" And maybe that's a good enough motivation -- I don't know. I guess I just get tired that we can't have things that are sweet without people trying to subvert them.

(People can take things and make whatever remixes they want! I just wish sometimes wish the aesthetic was more than "this thing but now it's WEIRD AND DARK!" If that makes any sense.)

"this thing but now it's WEIRD AND DARK!"

Ah yes, the ole Tim Burton.

Heh.

There’s a new edit that was just posted:

Love.

If you recall the episode in which Bobby becomes infatuated with Luanne’s beauty school mannequin head...yeah. That one.
