Is this one of the "new" episodes of TAH that I heard about? That Acker and Blacker were going to produce new content but only (or mostly?) for Patreon backers? Or do I have that wrong? Either way--- carving out 90 minutes in tomorrow's schedule to watch this. Thank you for bringing it to my attention! (Almost as good as a new Captain Laserbeam-- he's my favorite.)

FWIW, there's a great fan edit of the film on youtube.
The original 1925 version of the Phantom of the Opera only survives as a spliced together dupe of 16mm prints in fairly low quality. The higher quality surviving 35mm print is of a version prepared alongside the sound re-release of Phantom. It is edited with different continuity than the 1925 version, cutting and rearranging scenes, as well as replacing footage with shots from the sound version

I ADORE PFT! Oh man, I too am going to set aside some time tomorrow to listen to the whole thing- what a delight! His podcast, Spontaneanation, is the perfect thing for when I’m feeling a little overwhelmed by the world- I’ve been hoarding them for bad days. But I believe it is coming to an end? So it must be for all the good and pure things in this life, alas.

What is Dame Sir Lord?

Dame Sir Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber
is a reoccurring character played by PFT on Comedy Bang! Bang! and yes, I believe the superfluous titles are meant to be humorous.

For the record, it’s been years since PFT has used ‘Dame’ as part of his Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber moniker. Chalk it up as an artifact from a less-woke time in comedy.

Thank you for this. It's hard work being a one-man riffer, let alone doing it live!

Twice this week (once by repeat request) I have played "Bonanas for Bonanza" for my family, and it would be lost without Paul F. Tompkins and his city-slicking ways.
