I can recommend Horse Destroys the Universe, after receiving it as a birthday present. Imagine Accelerando, except with more horse.

"This special situation of the State as a category—oblivion and return—has to be explained. To begin with, it should be said that the primordial despotic state is not a historical break like any other. Of all the institutions, it is perhaps the only one to appear fully armed in the brain of those who institute it, "the artists with a look of bronze." That is why Marxism didn't quite know what to make of it: it has no place in the famous five stages[...] It is not one formation among others, nor is it the transition from one formation to another. It appears to be set back at a remove from what it transects and from what it resects, as though it were giving evidence of another dimension, a cerebral ideality that is added to, superimposed on the material evolution of societies[...] a vibratory spiral." -- D&G AO p219

At the beginning, I thought, 'You've changed man. It used to be all about the spider demons.' Then I watched more, and thought, 'nah, dude, we're cool.'

I can't figure out how the kittens get into the walking buildings.

Oh you know kittens, always getting into places where they don't belong...

Mr Harris does produce quite amusing takes on metastasis.

Strange to think how old the videos are that he self-references: Cycles (2010), Baaa (June 2011), Welcome to Kitty City (November 2011). I mean, the kitten-obsessed 5 year old I shared Kitty City with is now a driver …

Cortex how do you feel about these fractals?

I've watched a lot of Cyriak videos over the years, but this one really does feel like he's taken it to a whole new level. Bravo!

I have no idea how Cyriak got his kittens wedged into his walking buildings, or why

I like the music. It's like someone grinning in your face too close for too long. It's not a surprise he's an admirer of Cardiacs.

Oh, and the sign that Cyriak is a class act: most stuff is synced with the upbeat. The downbeat is for children.

Wow. What a nightmare! (In the absolutely best, uniquely Cyriak way).

Well, that's the first time that I'd ever seen sheep knitting outlines of Platonic solids.

If it were just a little longer it could fade out at 6:28, but maybe that's too obvious.

Yeah, if we were all just a teddy bear scientist's collapsing simulation, I'd feel a lot better about everything.

I think they're "impossible" versions of the Platonic solids as well. The sheep makes me think of this character from M.C. Escher's 1958 lithograph "Belvedere".
