Both Michael Roth’s The Web Opera and HERE’s all decisions are made by consensus use our screen-mediated world as a narrative given.

I'm not sure why these are being discussed in the article as being an extension of a live play, when they seem to be more like films. Maybe it's just that the artists making them are coming from a live theater background, but the more recent one sounds like the low budget Zoom equivalent of one of these made-for-TV live versions of Grease or Jesus Christ Superstar, and the other one sounds closer to Searching, except that everyone is singing.
