It just keeps scrolling for ever with stuff that "me forty years ago" would have screamed over.

TKSST on its front page has that Lego Mindstorms robot roll over (and etc.) gaps challenge, and it made me look to see what's new. Middle of the first year of the pandemic they released a new set, and it looks, honestly, like the best thing since RCX. I absolutely disliked with passion the NXT divergence - less compact, quite bulky. Now they're going back to small form factor, and that's wonderful.

If you've got a science-oriented kid and they don't have an Arduino starter kit yet, well, there's your Christmas present taken care of. Just a cheap generic kit is like being handed the keys to the electronic universe, it's pretty amazing. A search at the online retailer of your choice should turn up a bunch of fun options.

This takes me back 10, 15 years when I was buying all this kind of stuff for my kids.

OK, my kids are now 14, 17, 20, and 27 but I am still seeing things in here that would made good gifts for them. Or me.

Great list, it is a big help this year - thank you @rockindata.

Wingspan, one game on the list, is amazing so get that for the fam/friend group. Many ways to score and it is hard to tell who won until the score is tallied. Gorgeous materials too. You have to just plunge in and play it to learn it but one session is all it takes.

I was excited to learn that the inventor who made wingspan has another game out. I get overwhelmed by most game lists so another thanks to OP!
