They come two weeks late and they don’t tessellate

Two sidebar recommendations I was served when I watched this very entertaining video:

A History Teacher Reacts | "Complete History Of The Soviet Union, Arranged To The Melody Of Tetris" [25m] (American or Canadian, based on accent)

Reaction | History Teacher - Complete History Of The Soviet Union, Arrange To The Melody Of Tetris [20m] (Not American or Canadian, based on accent)

Which provide context that I found useful, because while I know the big sweeps, I don't have the particulars close at hand.

Such great lyrics. And a brilliant video.

In retrospect, seems a bit premature to call game over.

I love this video so much. Thank you for the reminder!

What, no Trotsky? Or even Khrushchev and the Sino-Soviet split? I found the manic preciousness of the video a little bit irritating and the narrative a little flat, but I thought I'd just add one small note. There's this imagery throughout of the soviet factory worker as the eternal white guy, but I was surprised to learn the other day that Russian Revolution had actually started from a series of women's strikes. The more you know!

We received a large L shaped package the other day. I sang this song as I got it into the house, and felt my entire life had prepared me for just that moment.
