Ancient giants "An epic quest to reach the tallest known tree in the Amazon"
I'm wondering why they didn't figure out a way to helicopter closer to the site rather than do the big hike in? Find a way down from the nearby hill? Maybe rappel down from another tree? Or at least bring in their heavy equipment rather than packing that full distance? And if they were going to use the drone, why not send it down from the helicopter?
What was interesting from the drone video flying upwards was the sight of all the 'baby' trees around the giant. Amazing that there is enough sunlight and soil nutrients to support that kind of germination. And the vines growing so close to the top! I'm sure this tree has it's own version of an ecosystem. Think of all the flora and fauna it supports. Microorganisms, bugs, and animals, oh my!

Is there a source that strips out this part of the presentation?
