Mashup Master Bill McClintock has appeared on Metafilter several times before, most recently here. I recently stumbled across his mashup of James Brown and Judas Priest which may be one of the most amazing things I have ever seen!

Now I can't decide if this is my favorite James Brown song or my favorite Judas Priest song.

It's interesting to watch the dancer in the back of James Brown's video. Something in her body language suggests caution and hesitancy, which makes it difficult for her to really get into the groove, and that was probably because she was on top of a high platform and she was worried about falling off.

That, or she’s just scared of James Brown.

This is so awesome. And the video editing is great, too.

YT suggested that I also look at his "Holy Mary Jane" by Rick James Dio, which is likewise great, although my favorite in the unlikely mashup genre is still DJ Cummerbund's "Play That Funky Music, Rammstein."

I know I would have been.

Halloween Jack: The YT algorithm served me "I Was Made for Boogie Wonderland", also wonderful, as the follow-up.

That was phenomenal. I haven't ever heard his vocals so clearly before!

And wen the guitar solo started and the horn players all stepped back, I thought of the line, "We'd like to do a favorite of the horn section. We hope it's one of yours."

Nice find! I love a good mashup, especially a genre bender. Reminds me of a lot of work Divide and Kreate has been doing for years. Scroll all the way to the bottom for Phantom Part III (Clash vocals over Justice electronica).

Needs more Halford!

As a teenager, for some reason, Rob's leather outfits made me feel all funny inside. Weird. No idea why.

The mashup is a masterful achievement - but, for me, loss from taking out the funk does not quite counterbalance the gain from adding a guitar solo (or taking out the piano one).

Black Sabbath and the Temptations bonus is no Ozzie vocals.

This rules, but I'm confused why it would be attributed to "James Priest" when "Judas Brown" is right there.

I nearly fell off my chair when I heard this country version of 'Eye of the Tiger'.

Another one that really shouldn't work is Buffalo MC playing 'Stop and Bust a Move'.
