Now there are going to be complaints about this convention, but...

YouTube's Swell Entertainment [YouTube video page link] attends events. But she doesn't go to create glamour Instagram moments, she goes to review the actual experience of attending the event. An interesting comparison/contrast are her videos lunacy at the furry convention [33m] and Anime Expo feels unsafe [37m]. But it's not just conventions, here is i snuck into Renee Rapp's listening party [20m]. I think she's great, and doing a thing nobody else is doing, and doing it with an attitude I enjoy.

I just discovered her a couple of weeks ago ! Loved here videos about AVN Expo and the AVN Awards.

As someone who enjoys the logistics of a well run event and nerd things, this is extremely my jam. Thanks for sharing!

As someone who used to attend a lot of conferences (medical back when I was a medical/healthcare reporter, then computer networking when I was an enterprise networking reporter and editor), it's amazing to see somebody reviewing stuff like just getting in the front door.

I am not an expo goer. I'm about a third of the way through the Animo Expo segment.

Her edits, are jarring and I don't like them.

Just have hit the thievery parts, and WTF? The artists better have insurance, how common is that?. But, wow. If all my shit got stolen overnight while the halls were closed, I'd be talking to my lawyers.

OK, watching more

Hippybear, I've been watching her for a while, and the furry con episode gave me pause, if only because I still hesitate at non-furries talking about furries (say you were a furry in the late 90s-early 2000s without saying you were a furry in the late 90s-early 2000s). How does she do?

That being said, the Rae Dunn video was my entry point and find her entertaining and and refreshingly blunt. Compare Jonah's Kabob with Doughbriks Pizza. She also gives credit where credit is due. She buys her tickets so she can critique freely, and is open about the price. She also specifies if she gets things for free through friends in the business or the like. Also I love how ready and there she is for any creator boxing event.

She's an interesting YouTuber with an interesting background. I'd love for her to get her dad on to talk about event planning and running events, which she said he does, because I bet he has great insights too, and I bet they'd play off each other well.

The AVN award show sounds like a total clustercuss. How do you manage to screw up an award show badly enough that the presenters and nominees can't get into the venue?

How does she do?

I found it to be a really good review of an event. She's not there to trash furries anymore than she's there to trash anime fans or trash people going to a rave on a battleship. I thought she had a lot of things to say about how the event was structured that were really flattering, starting off with how little it cost to get into the event and going into how well the lines were managed and all kinds of stuff she regularly complains about in other videos.

I've been to a number of furry conventions but not to that specific event. I'm glad she had a good time. I wish she'd been more into the dance because that might have been magical to her, but she's really not into dancing. She went to a lot of the panels, which is more than I can say for some of my own furcon experiences.
