NPR, in association with LG U+ and Something Special, has launched Tiny Desk Korea. First up is 김창완 밴드 (KIM CHANG WAN BAND). More about the project here, and more about artists to come here.

Kim Chang Wan, for anyone who doesn't know and is curious, is a well-known actor, but before he was an actor he was in the 1970s psych rock/prog band 산울림 (Sanulrim). I like all their albums, but my favorite of the group's songs is the sweet 너의 의미 (Meaning of You). The band's version is available on streaming sites and YouTube, as well as a more recent cover by IU (which features Kim Chang Wan), but I'm so happy that he sang it here.

I'm not an expert on Sanulrim, Kim Chang Wan, or Kim Chang Wan's music, but 너의 의미 is one of my all-time favorite songs. I'm so happy to have this concert to accompany me as I drudge through work tonight.
