I first encountered Hania Rani's music through this Cercle set, which I recommend if you like the main link. I'm not sure what to call the genre she's working in, exactly, but it's beautiful.

Love, love, love her music! My favorite performances are Piano Day via ARTE Concert and her KEXP session. Such expression and talent and mood, her music is pure delight.

Tangerine Dream meets The Necks meets Jean Michel Jarre meets Fripp & Eno meets Dead Can Dance meets Éliane Radigue meets George Harrison and then they all just sit down in the front row and listen.

This live performance of her new album is astonishingly beautiful.
She's touring the US right now. I'll be at one of those shows next week, and it's easily the most excited I've been about seeing a live performance in a long time.

Ah rats! This sort of thing is extremely up my street, and she’s playing near me in a few weeks at a time I could probably reasonably go. All sold out though. Still, always nice to hear new music that clicks with me.
